Inspired by Lois Ehlert's book Color Zoo, Kindergarten students created paper shape animals as well as pattern block animals.
Now that our top five candidates have been selected for our Vote for Books election students cacucused and determinded which campaign to join. Today the groups began their poster campaign. Stay tuned for our button and multimedia campaign in the coming weeks.
This week second graders worked in teams to program the KIBO robots. The KIBOS are our newest addition to our mobile makerspaces. Created for younger students, the robots are programmed with wooden blocks. The groups worked hard and were great problem solvers. Each group also documented their work on the ipads. I will be posting their pictures to Seesaw soon! We were able to purchase five KIBO robot sets through a grant from the Lawrence Schools Foundation.
