Second graders worked together to create a windproof home for the Fourth Little Pig. Using a budget of $50 pig bucks, they designed, purchased materials, built and tested their homes. Watch the commercials they created to see what house you'd like to buy! The kids did a great job working together and being creative! Miss Gorup

Fifth graders have been working together to brainstorm questions and research the daily life of various Native American tribes. Their research will help them to create a village that will be displayed in the library for other students at Quail Run to see. While each person in the group has one topic, students have done a wonderful job supporting the other members of the group during the research process.
After listening to Patricia Polacco's book Aunt Chip and the Great Triple Creek Dam Affair, a story about a town so taken by their televisions they forget how to read, the third graders had a great time brainstorming why, when and what we read. Ms GorupI've been lucky enough to be the librarian at Quail Run for the last ten years. I hope to use this site to share some of the highlights of our busy days in the library! |
