Last week we celebrated National Library Week by learning how to do things in the library. Kindergarten students learned how to use Pebble Go, while first grade students learned how to write a book talk. Second, third, fourth and fifth graders used a variety of books from the nonfiction section to learn how to do everything from speak a new language to perform magic tricks. Everyone had a great time celebrating libraries. See why the fifth graders think we celebrate National Library Week by watching their posts on Flipgrid.

Using Hanoch Piven's book My Dog is as Smelly as Socks, second graders used Adobe Voice to create their own simile stories. Check out your student's Seesaw account to view their story. Kindergarten students were inspired by author and illustrator Eric Carle to paint paper they will use for collages next week. They used a combination of watercolor and tempera paint as well as some unusual painting tools including combs and puffs. Check back next week to see their final creations. |

Ms GorupI've been lucky enough to be the librarian at Quail Run for the last ten years. I hope to use this site to share some of the highlights of our busy days in the library! |
